The central question of the research project is how second and third generation Australian Finns have experienced language and culture contact, what is their linguistic and cultural competence and what are their attitudes towards their Finnish heritage and Australian Finnish identity. How will these issues affect the future of Finnish language and culture in multicultural Australia?
