Specialization

• Jouni Korkiasaari, Licentiate of Pedagogics, has worked at the Institute of Migration since 1980. He specializes in many fields of migration. His special area of interest is Finns abroad. He is one of the authors of the six-volume series "The History of Finnish Emigration" (published in Finnish only). He has participated 11 times in FinnFest USA festival and three times in Finnish-Canadian Grand Festival.
• He is also an expert in using personal computers, computer networks and the internet.
• Photography and desktop publishing are his favorite hobbies (in addition to computers).
