At the moment we have the
following online databases for customer use:
 Library
search
In Januari 2004 the library of the Institute of Migration had ca. 9,000 publications on migration. The
library catalogue is computerized and accessible on the Internet since 1999.
Photo
Gallery
The online photo gallery consists of a few
hundred sample pictures picked from our archive collection of approx. 12,000 photographs.
Emigrant
Register
The Emigrant Register was established in 1989 as a service for genealogists
and the descendants of Finnish emigrants. A computerized database of many sources is currently being compiled. To date over 550,000 entries
have been made.
The
migration and Ethnicity Research Network (MEV)
This network, maintained by the Institute of
Migration, is a database of 450 researchers and other persons interested in
the migration and ethnicity research in Finland.
