The Migration Centre of Swedish-speaking Finland

The task of the the Migration Centre for Swedish-speaking Finland is to research and document migration from and to Swedish-speaking Finland. It is located in Kronoby folkhögskola in Ostrobothnia. The Centre was founded March 26th 2014, and is part of the Migration  Institute of Finland in Turku. The reason for establishing a new Centre targeting the migration of the Swedish speaking Finns is, that the migration propensity has been much higher than for the Finnish speaking Finns, calling for research, exhibitions, archival functions and organisation of conferences.
